어떤 컷 β에 대해
A={α∈R | α<β} 라 하고 

γ를 α∈A인 모든 α들의 합집합이라 하자.

유리수 p에 대해 p∈γ 이면
어떤 α∈A에 대해 p∈α<β 이므로
p∈β
따라서 γ⊂β             ................................(1)

또 만약 p∈β 이면
컷의 성질에 의해 q > p 이면서 q∈β인 유리수 q가 존재한다.
이때 p∈α, q ∉α인 α는 α<β를 만족하므로 α∈A
따라서 α⊂γ이므로
p∈γ

따라서 β⊂γ             ................................(2)

(1), (2) 에서 γ=β

그리고 β는 β보다 작지 않으므로 γ∉ A 이다.

믿기 어려운 발견 두가지 :

1. β보다 작은 컷들의 합집합은, 그중 어떤 집합도 β가 아지니만, β가 된다.

2. A에 속한 집합들의 원소들만 가지고 집합을 만들었는데도 그 집합이 A의 원소가 될 수 없는 경우가 생긴다.

예를들어

1보다 작은 실수들을 모두 합집합 하면 0.9999.... 인데 그 값이 1보다 작다는 것은 증명할 수 없다.

오히려 지금의 실수체계 하에서는 0.9999....이 1 과 같다고 결론지을 수 밖에 없다.

이것은 0.9999....와 1을 구분할 수 있는 어떤 방법도 없다는 것을 의미한다.

이러한 결론은 항상 개구간으로 정의되는 실수 자체의 성질과, 집합의 상등에 관한 정의에서 기인한 것이다.

이렇게보면 0.9999....=1 이라는 등식은 '당연히 성립되는 것'은 아닌 것 같다.

지존자의 보호 아래 거하는 자는

1. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2.I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"

하나님의 신실하심이 그의 방패가 될 것입니다.

그가 하나님을 의지하므로 하나님이 그를 악으로부터 보호하실 것입니다.

9.For you have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place.
10.No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.
11.For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.
12.They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone.

그는 마침내 악을 이기고 승리할 것입니다.

13.You will tread upon the lion and cobra, The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.
14."Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.

그가 하나님께 구할 때 하나님께서 그를 구원하실 것입니다.
15."He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
16."With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation."
